We bought a van!

08-May-10  --  This weekend was our 11th wedding anniversary, and Mother's Day. As we left the house (Aunt Kim was watching the kids), we decided to go to CarMax to test drive some SUV's. We have known for a long time that our van would need to be replaced soon, and have been researching what options we have available. The best option we could find was the Toyota Sienna, with its 8-passenger seating. We had previously looked at some other vehicles, like the Saturn Outlook and Chevy Traverse, but the seats were WAY too small for what we were looking for. We decided to take a look at some other vehicles, like the Chevy Suburban.

CarMax does not usually carry many Sienna's, since they are sold almost as quickly as they come in, so it was no surprise that they did not have any in stock when we arrived. We test drove a Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen. They were nice vehicles, but we kept comparing them to the Sienna.

After a while, we decided to leave, but we pulled up the website again in order to print off the information sheets of the vehicles we drove... and to our surprise, there was a Sienna in stock! The salesman had to look for it, but it was exactly what we were looking for, price and all. So, we decided to get it.

Now the boys will not have to suffer another Texas summer with no air conditioning in the back of the van!
